Sprout Santosa
In teaching yoga for the last 12 years, I have experienced firsthand the many ways that it can change and improve lives. It has really made a difference in mine. A regular yoga practice can help us find balance, health, and joy in life. It is wonderful to see people grow and blossom. The gratitude of students is what keeps me going. People often say “Oh, that felt so good!” the light in their eyes is shining. When people are hurting or struggling, yoga can bring them relief, and confidence in their strength and abilities, I want to share that.
My goal as a yoga teacher is to give people tools that will help them with healing, relaxation, and coping with stress in healthy ways, as we build a practice that can help us to be our best selves throughout life. This personal growth can also do so much to improve all of our relationships in life.
My classes are gentle, welcoming, and accessible to all levels, so that students can feel comfortable, even if it is the first time. I focus on alignment and injury prevention. I encourage people to go at their own speed and feel free to ask questions or modify any exercise that I suggest. In addition to teaching yoga, I have also been a caregiver for seniors and disabled people for 18 years. I love the wisdom, patience, and grace these people have shown me. Helping people nourishes me. I also have a passion for all forms of dance. When life’s stresses get to me, I go out dancing with friends and shake everything loose! It is a great release. Art is also a very important part of my life. If I were to describe my passions and mission in life in five words? Helping, Healing, Growing, Sharing, Joy.
