1. Yoga! Yoga offers many tools for relaxation that we will explore together in our workshops.
2. Warm herbal tea is a great healthy way to relax any time, and there are so many types and flavors to choose from, many with healing benefits! Ask me about my favorite herbs and teas, I love to share what has worked for me.
3. A good book. Reading an actual book (not electronic device) is so good for your mind. choose the genre you like and let your mind have a vacation in the pages.
4. Take a walk. Walking in nature is so healthy and relaxing, but even a stroll around the block has great benefits.
5. Laugh! tell jokes with friends, watch a funny movie, or join an online humor group. I like to start my day off with a laugh to get me going on a positive note I am on a couple facebook groups, the cosmic joke is my fave.
6. Call a friend. In our busy lives we don't always take time to reach out to our friends and family, but it sure is nice to catch up when we get a chance.
7. Arts and crafts. Create something beautiful that you will treasure, or a gift for someone you love, or just something silly and whimsical. Working with your hands can be very meditative and relaxing.
8. Dance! Even if it is alone in your room, or your kitchen, put on your favorite music and move. Even when you are sick or hurting, moving your body can be very healing.
9. Water. Your local pool, hot tub, jacuzzi, your bath or shower all offer a wonderful haven of relaxation, especially if you can just float there. Just being near water can also charge the air with positive ions- healthy and relaxing.
10. Cuddle. Enjoy time together with someone you love and trust. Warmth and closeness is so important, and if it leads to something more... ;-)
